An affordable Ohio

Every single year we're expected to tighten our purse strings, pull ourselves up by the boot straps, and work harder. The issue is most of us are already working as hard as we can, or we've already put in our 30 years and retired. We need to acknowledge that this isn't an issue with our people, it's an issue that runs deeper. Families are losing homes that have been passed down for generations, young adults can hardly afford rent, and this needs to change. We need to make an affordable Ohio.

Some of the hardest workers amongst us are our union brothers and sisters. They tirelessly produce our goods, work on our infrastructure, and make this state truly great. Their rights to collectively bargain, fight for a fair wage, and take care of their own are constantly coming under attack in the state house. I will always stand up for our great unions when push comes to shove.

Support for unions

The foundation of our nation, of our state, and our communities will always be our children. Our great public schools help grow our kids to their fullest potential to become leaders, innovators, and people who will move us towards the future. The critical lack of funding hurts our children's growth and their opportunities. Their classrooms are overcrowded, their teachers are told to do more with less, and Ohio is falling behind the curve. My first priority will be to restore our schools to their former glory, to guarantee every child has the best path towards the future they deserve.
